The clinic is on the north side of Frederick a short drive from the Fort Detrick gates, which makes it practical for Army civilian, NCI and garrison employees to be evaluated and have CA-17 Duty Status Reports updated without leaving the county. Bring your CA-16 from the installation and your CAC or federal ID.
Does the Frederick clinic have evening hours?
Yes. Federal Injury Centers of Frederick is open until 7 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and until 6 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, opening at 9 AM each weekday. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary on federal holidays.

I'm a rural carrier in Frederick County and hurt my knee on my route. What now?
Report it to your postmaster or supervisor the same day, file a CA-1 in ECOMP within 30 days to protect Continuation of Pay, and ask for a Form CA-16 so treatment is authorized. Then call (240) 863-2822 — you have the right under FECA to choose your own treating physician. We evaluate the injury, order imaging if needed and complete the CA-16 Part B, CA-17 and CA-20 at the visit.
Is federal workers' comp the same as Maryland workers' comp?
No. As a federal or postal employee your claim is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor's OWCP under FECA — not the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission. FECA has its own forms, its own rules for choosing a physician, Continuation of Pay for the first 45 days and a schedule award system for permanent impairment. Federal Injury Centers treats federal claims exclusively.
