About Dr. John Rosa

Dr. John Rosa, DC is a co-founder and owner of Federal Injury Centers and the owner and supervising clinician of Accessible Beltway Clinics, a network of 17 clinics across Maryland and Virginia that combine medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture and behavioral medicine into a single, coordinated approach to pain syndromes and musculoskeletal disorders.

That multidisciplinary model is the foundation of how Federal Injury Centers treats injured federal and postal employees. Under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA), an injured worker's claim depends on physician-authored medical evidence that connects the injury to the job and documents objective findings, work restrictions and progress. Dr. Rosa built the practice so that a physician Medical Director, nurse practitioners, chiropractors and physical therapists work from one treatment plan and one set of OWCP-ready records.

Why it matters for your claim: integrative care means fewer referrals out, faster access to the right treatment, and consistent documentation across every visit — the three things OWCP claims examiners look for when they accept a claim and authorize ongoing care.

Leader in Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Rosa served as a Trustee of New York Chiropractic College for more than 15 years, including a final three-year term as Chairman of the Board, and was named Board Emeritus after his service. He has been awarded the two highest recognitions in the profession: Fellow of the American Chiropractic Colleges (FACC) and Fellow of the International Chiropractic Colleges (FICC).

Opioid Crisis Expert

Dr. Rosa is one of the few practicing clinicians who has advised at the national level on the opioid epidemic from the treatment side. His work has included:

  • White House surrogate and consultant, including participation in the White House Opioid Summit
  • Law-enforcement consultant to the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Justice, the DEA and the U.S. Postal Service
  • Presenter at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Fentanyl Summit in New York City, attended by Homeland Security, CBP, DOJ, DEA, FDA, FBI, U.S. Postal Service and state and local police
  • State and national consultant to opioid task forces
  • Corporate and professional-organization consultant on non-opioid pain management

For injured federal employees this translates directly into treatment philosophy: Federal Injury Centers is built around restoring function through evidence-based conservative care first, with medication used judiciously and under physician supervision.

How Dr. Rosa's Team Helps Injured Federal Employees

Every Federal Injury Centers location operates under the integrative model Dr. Rosa developed. If you are a federal or USPS employee injured on the job, our DOL doctors evaluate and treat your injury, complete your OWCP forms (CA-16, CA-17, CA-20) at your visit and bill the Department of Labor directly under federal workers' compensation — with no copays or personal insurance involved.
